Temporary water discoloration expected in Kildala during main flushing

Residents living in the Kildala area of Kitimat can expect temporary water discoloration on Wednesday, Oct. 22, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. when water main flushing takes place.

The District of Kitimat stated that turbid, or cloudy water, is expected in some homes during the flushing process. Discoloration is quite common during this process and should clear up after a short period of time.

If you notice any discolored water, the District recommends turning on your cold water taps until the water runs clear. Those who experience ongoing issues are asked to contact the District of Kitimat offices.
